Description
A fruit bowl, gilded bronze, finely beveled. Triangular base with volute feet and vegetable ornaments. Emblems on the three sides with engraved initials (C.R. & E.B.). The three griffons glorify the care the engraver used to treat the bronze. At the top, an in the round sculpture depicts a monkey. The porcelain plates are finely painted and decorated with solid gold. The structure is modular and the bronzes are enumerated. Manufactured in East Europe, last quarter of the 19th century.
