Oil painting on canvas. The scene depicts a complex of figures on a light and shaded background. There are some knights and Oriental warriors wearing turbans and scimitars. The painting is characterized by fast and nervous lines liven up by light sources and contrasts. These features recall Francesco Graziani's painting, also known as Ciccio Napolitano, famous painter of war scenes. Even if his life is not completely known, a lot of war scenes are attributed to him such as the two Battles at Galleria Pallavicini in Rome. The painting is already restored and relined and presented in beautiful coeval frame. 17th century.
