Sergio Mazza was born in Milan in 1931, he soon became a designer and in 1955 he began his free profession. Since 1961 he has worked alongside G.Gramigna in the Smc studio, working in the field of furniture and industrial design. Among the various acknowledgments and awards received, we remember the mention to the Compasso d'Oro in 1960 for the Delta lamp by Artemide and the silver medal for the Italian Apartment at the X Triennale in Milan. From 1967 he began designing for Olivari too, signing the Macco handles, up to the Giuliana model, with Gramigna, of 1987.
