The "Zweibelmuster" or "Blue Onion", commonly known as "Onion Decoration", had become the symbol of Meissen Manufacture. The plates are painted with cobalt blue flowers, trees and strongly sketched fruits. The eldest piece mase by the Meissen with this decoration inspired by the chinese drawing from the Kangxi era is dated back to 1739 and was painted by Hoeroldt. Ther are sketched peonies, japanese peaches, aster and pomegranates that sinously grow around a bamboo cane. Each of this elements has a precise meaning inside the oriental simbology.
