Starting from the 1950s, he abandoned sacred art to devote himself to floral compositions, which gave him the name of "artist of thistles" for his predilection for this flower, but also for the landscape, considered by some to be the most valid part of its production. The landscape presented offers a winter glimpse of a town above Lake Iseo. In frame. painter of frescoes with sacred subjects, while working he was called "the painter of thistles" because in the sixties and seventies of the twentieth century he mainly produced flowers in pots, thistles in particular. With those works he had achieved considerable success not only in Bergamo but also in all the Italian cities where he exhibited.
