Oil painting on canvas. Signature, title, location Venice and the date 1920 on the back. Present also signature on the front, lower left, with a later date (1926) Daughter of art (her father was Guglielmo Ciardi), the Venetian artist Emma Ciardi was a very fruitful painter, whose paintings are scattered all over the world, having worked for an international client that from Venice arrived in London, in New York, in Buenos Aires. Ciardi is part of the Venetian landscape painting: she makes portraits of the cities with which she gets to know (Florence, London, Paris, Basel, Bruges., Venice) and, in particular, she studies the ancient gardens, populating them with ladies and knights. dressed in eighteenth-century styles.
