Description
Brass inclinometer/"Dip Circle", consisting of a glass case which can be opened by a door containing the altitude circle and mounted on a tripod with three levelling screws, azimuth scale with independent rotation and locking screw. Both the circle of altitude and the azimuth scale are graduated. There is a spirit level. The instrument in question can be more accurately dated to between 1929, the year in which the Griffin & Tatlock Ltd brand was established, and 1954, the year in which the company merged with W. & J. George & Becker Ltd. and Standley Belcher & Mason Ltd. to form Griffin & George Ltd. which still exists today.
Product Condition:
