Description : Non si è mai soli quando si crede nelle cose vere!
Oil and pencil on canvas. Signed and dated lower left. On the right is the sentence that gives the title to the work, said by Vincent Van Gogh to his brother Theo. Alberto Venditti Neapolitan, he grew up and established himself as a painter and engraver in his hometown. In the 1970s he moved to Milan where he continued his artistic career, while teaching at the Brera Academy: in Milan he still brought with him all that imaginary and that remarkable cultural baggage of Campania art, from the most archaic to the most "Modern", drawing the lymph for its production both sacred and profane. In the proposed work, Van Gogh's phrase is the title of what appears to be a poster proposal for the School of Art (written in scattered letters) of the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, depicted at the top left. In frame.
