Italy First Half of the 19th Century

Finely engraved and perforated silver oil cruet with Greek fret, torchon and gargoyle decorations. The cruet is supported by four feral-shaped feet and has a top grip with specular swans. Silver hallmarks engraved with initials BZ, probably initials of the silversmith. 675 grams. Ground glass ampoules.

Northern Italy c.1880

Steelyard balance in solid iron and bronze. Capacity 40 kg extendable to 120 kg. On the weights and on the graduated rod presence of stamps. The weighing plate is missing.

Sculptural group in porcelain depicting a horse-drawn chariot led by a mythological figure. Manufacturer's brand under the chariot.

Ginori porcelain coffee service with plant motif decoration. Under the base of the cups is the engraved maker's mark. Service comprising coffee pot and five cups with saucer.

France, First Half of the XIX Century

Cream mug with saucer decorated in gold on a blue background. In the reserve polychrome decoration with plant motifs. Fruit-shaped lid grip and twisted branch handle of the cup.

Porcelain service in the manner of Ginori in Doccia with gold decorations and blue borders. Initials on each piece. Service comprising sugar bowl, milk jug and eight cups with saucers.

Group of ten saucers in polychrome majolica, mixtilinear rim profiled in brown, centred by a figural motif indicated in the inventory documents with the description villages and figures in enamel, with birds and insects. Late 19th-century reproductions by the Felice Clerici Milan manufactory.

T. WALKER'S Patent HARPOON SHIP LOG A.2.

Mechanical harpoon towing log/"Harpoon towing log" model A2, made of brass and porcelain, without stabiliser, fitted with three dials on the porcelain panel, of which the first records miles up to 100, the second records units up to 10 miles, the third records quarter miles. The four rotor blades are stamped with the anchor motif and the initials T.W. The design details and features suggest a production date around 1880.

J. H. Steward 406 Strand London

Brass laboratory microscope, J. H. Steward, 406 Strand London. The mahogany box containing it has an empty slot and signs of a possible attack on the inside of the lid. The inscription "St. Paul's Churchyard" (active location between c.1867 and 1930) on a component found in the wooden box and the characteristics of the instrument allow us to date it with good probability to the last quarter of the 19th century.
