Giocondo Zampogna, a Neapolitan painter of the early 1900s, is considered a happy continuer of the famous school of the "Riviera di Posillipo", the group of Neapolitan painters who entrusted, mostly to tablets or small canvases, quick, synthetic but enchanted shots, of the Gulf of Naples. Zampogna su distinguished himself precisely for the production of marine, animated by popular characters and imbued with romantic atmospheres and impressionist suggestions. The painting is presented in a frame.
