Oil on cardboard. Signed at the bottom left. On the back there are title and date of making and the declaration of authenticity of Ernesto's son. Alcide Davide Campestrini, a painter from Trentino who received his artistic training at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, where he also taught, had a vast and varied production that included religious subjects, landscapes, portraits and genre scenes from the end of the 19th century, some military scenes of patriotic intent from the early 20th century, as well as decorations for villas and palaces (especially in Trentino), which the artist worked on after the war. He has been defined as a "wanderer of painting", who has crossed different styles and genres, declining in painting and drawing between neo-impressionism and timid hints of "abstract" figuration, with forays into realism and social criticism. The small glimpse comes in a revival frame.
