Oil on table. Signed and dated in the lower right corner, also dated in the Fascist era XV. On the back there is a double cartouche of the Salvetti Gallery, with the title of the work and its exhibition at the artist's personal exhibition which took place from 30 November to 16 December 1937. The Livorno artist Gino Romiti moved among the currents of the time to reach finally, towards the Thirties, a personal style made up of relaxed atmospheres and never excessive color combinations with a precise pictorial texture. His production is mainly made up of subjects inspired by the landscapes and seascapes, gardens, country roads of his province; this work also presents a glimpse of the countryside between the provinces of Livorno and that of Pisa, flat but rich in vegetation and crossed by a channel swollen with water. The work is presented in a contemporary frame.
