Description

Embroidery on silk, mounted on a recent loom. The embroidery shows an orientalist scene, with in the center a small landscape with a figure with a turban on horseback outside a village, and around a decoration with animals: in the lower center a monkey, on the sides a peacock and another monkey at the feet of two tendrils on top of which two birds. The colors are soft, in shades of brown-ocher and greens. The canvas has some holes and spots. It is presented in a stylish frame.
