Louis Philippe sofa in walnut, Italy, mid-19th century. Carved cyma with leaf elements, armrest uprights, feet and band decorated with reserves and curls; carved shell placed in the center of the band. Backrest, armrests and seat padded and covered in damask fabric to be restored.

Genoa, Mid XIX Century

Louis Philippe sofa, supported by curled feet adorned with carved leaf motifs, also featured in the armrests and cymathium, here accompanied by a grotesque mask; the lower band is carved on the front and sides with Greek characteristics which suggest its production in the Genoese area. In mahogany, the seat and padded back were subsequently reupholstered.
