Hand-Cranked Piano Wood Italy XIX-XX Century - Novara Late XIX - Early XX Century

Oil painting on canvas. Roman school of the seventeenth century. The two landscapes refer to Roman painting of the seventeenth for the setting and the pictorial style: the large and dilated spaces frame in the foreground glimpses of the bucolic countryside, with streams of flowing water, animated and populated by figurines, and with architectural structures behind, in one of the two paintings in particular characterized by a baroque dome soaring over the houses; finally in the background and contour, the nature that from spacious valleys gets lost in hilly slopes in one of the two, but above all in mountain peaks shaded in the blue to merge with the sky above. The chromatic contrasts between the earthy hues used for the vegetation and for the rocky parts and the colder colors of the large patch of sky that opens the landscape towards the deep horizon stand out. Restored and relined, the two paintings are presented in period frames.

Genoa Second Fourth XIX Century

6-light neoclassical chandelier, Genoa second quarter of the 19th century. Structure made of wrought iron within which are inserted one into the other wooden elements carved with leafy and gilded motifs, making up the stem, and the wrought iron arms which support the lights, necklaces and glass pendants. Present elements in chiseled sheet with blue glass set in the center.

Elegant desk, with double column side drawers; exotic wood veneer, "carved" drawer fronts, glass top, brass tips, inlaid floral decoration.

Italy Mid 19th century

Group of 4 Louis Philippe corner cupboards in Maple, Italy mid 19th century. Raised shaped and carved in curls, embellished with reserves with perimeter frames; white marble tops, wavy front with glass doors, internal compartments equipped with mercury mirrors. Inlaid with Charles X motifs in walnut and decorated on the uprights with leaf and floral carvings. Changes and replacements.

Oil painting on canvas. Northern European school of the eighteenth century. A plate on the frame attributes the work to Meindert Hobbema (1638 -1709) one of the greatest Dutch landscape painters. While not confirming the attribution, we appreciate the good pictorial quality of the tree-lined landscape, enlivened by figurines and with a charming cottage that stands out in the centre, where the play of light and shadow created by the sun between the branches of the trees stands out. Restored and relined, the painting is presented in a mid-1900s frame.
