Glimpses with Boats 1936

Mixed technique on paper. Signed and dated lower right. Mario Bezzola was a Milanese painter, as well as a critic of Italian nineteenth-century art, who distinguished himself above all for his landscape production. Sunny and luminous, this marine glimpse, which sees a small inhabited island in the centre, surrounded by small boats with orange sails which are reflected in the water. It is presented in a coeval frame.

The woman is portrayed in a pose that expresses a thoughtful state: sitting on the ground, her eyes closed, her head slightly bowed; behind and around her, fabrics and cushions, to evoke the alcove. The chromatic tones are almost uniform, in the range of beiges - bluish browns, among which even the rosy complexion stands out delicately. The painting has traces of restoration. Landscape with Houses 1966

It is a glimpse of houses at the entrance to the town, rendered with a marked geometric dimension and a material use of colour, as characteristic of the painter from Gussago (Bs) Eugenio Levi, whose pictorial poetics was always inspired by "things" and places he lived. Hill Landscape with Cottage

A glimpse of rolling hills characterized by the brilliance of the green color, in a wide range of shades enhanced by soft edges, surmounted by the blue sky and interrupted only by a cottage, which also incorporates the same colors of the earth and the countryside. It is the work of the young Milanese artist Amerigo Canegrati, who had great fame in the Thirties, and is considered among the representatives of the Lombard pictorial trends of the Italian twentieth century; his painting expresses deep coloristic qualities both in landscape paintings and in compositions and figures. Costal View of Naples Bay

Oil on canvas. Signed Att. Pratella at the bottom right. On the back there is a declaretion of belonging to the neapolitan artist. The subject is close to Pratella's production who preferred marine landscapes of the Naples Bay, his home town.
