Painter and sculptor Camillo Ghigo, known as Mastro Ghigo, was born in Turin in September 1912. After attending painting and sculpture courses at the Scuola degli Artigianelli E. Reffo deepened the artistic subject at the Accademia Albertina in Turin. He collaborated on several occasions with the Turin ceramic manufacturer "Lenci", between 1934 and 1946, creating a large number of models and decorations. Founder of the artistic ceramics manufacturer "Keramos di Ghigo", then "Ceramiche d'Arte Mastro Ghigo", he has collaborated, since the mid-1930s, with numerous ceramic manufacturers in Turin including Sandro Vacchetti's "Essevi", the "Ars Pulcra" by Bartolomeo Camisassa, the "Igni" by Nello Franchini and the "Ceramica di Nobili" by Quenda and Alberto Nobili. In 1971 he held a personal exhibition of his ceramic works in Avigliana and in 1975 he presented a personal exhibition of paintings at the Aviglianese Youth Center. Camillo Ghigo died in Avigliana, in the province of Turin, in 1992.Material: Ceramic
