Eclectic console in gilded lime wood, supported by four curved legs carved with floral and leaf motifs, as in the apron under the top, features baroque, late baroque and neoclassical motifs, carved crosspiece culminating in a large acanthus leaf. Grey marble top. Naples, 19th century.

19th Century / 1801 - 1900

Planetarium consisting of a golden brass base, equipped with seven brass arms, onto which the wooden planets are inserted, accompanied by their satellites; the larger solar globe is made of brass. The planetarium dates back to the first half of the 19th century, that is, before the discovery of Neptune (1846) and its identification as the eighth planet.

Oil on canvas. Signed lower right R. Giffinger. The countryside landscape features a torrent that flows impetuously in the center, passing under the stone bridge that leads to the farmhouse on the right, surrounded by green foliage. The effects of light are emphasized by the use of a rather material color, especially in the foam of the water and the foliage of the trees. The painting is presented in a period frame.

Gallant scene

Oil on canvas. Signed both lower and upper left. The scene is set in a rich noble hall, where ladies and knights in eighteenth-century clothes entertain. It is the work of the prolific Neapolitan painter Salvatore Balsamo, who died very young. It is presented in a mid-1900s frame.

Oil on canvas. Signed H.Cooper lower left and dated 1909. On the back an inscription indicates the location of Bishops' Stortford, in the English county of Hertfordshire. It actually depicts a glimpse of the English countryside, with a rural house on the bank of the river, on which stands a fisherman. The painting is presented in a period frame.

Vintage table lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni and made of painted aluminum, chromed steel, lacquered aluminum and methacrylate.

Oil on canvas. Portrait on a monochrome background of a young lady, in mourning with a strictly black dress, although enriched by a gold pendant earring. The painting has some paint loss, with a rather marked crack. It is presented in a contemporary regilded frame.
