A sculpture depicting the birth of Venus manufactured by Eugenio Avolio (1876-1929). A Triton and a mermaid fluctuating on the waves are holding a shell supporting Venus. The sculpture has a gilded bronze Baroque basement with E. AVOLIO NAPOLI engraved. Manufactured in Naples, Italy, early 20th century.
