Description

Mantel clock Villard a Paris. Gilded bronze. The base is an architectural structure with irregular shape decorated with little columns, Greek frets, plant motifs and studs. Two cherubs enclose the clock face made of glazed metal with Arabian and Roman numbers. Gilded bronze finely pierced hands. The clock is surmounted by a sculpture depicting a rooster. Branded mechanism Japy Freres medaille d'honneur. Manufactured in Paris, France, 19th century.

Product Condition:
Object in good condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The cherub's hand is missing. Mechanism revised in January 2019.
