Description : Episodi della vita di Luigi XVI
Set of five engravings, four of which were made by Carlo Lasinio, an Italian engraver and museologist who used to sign with the anagram Silanio. Three of these were made on Charles Benazech's drawings, editor and printer. The five printings depict the last moments of King Louis XVI's life, his imprisonment and conviction to death. One of them depicts the separation of the young dauphin of France from his mother, as decided by the Safety Committee in 1793. On the engravings there are some stains due to moisture and some tears. They are all presented in beautiful frames of the 19th century.
