Description : Ducato ovvero territorio di Milano

Acquaforte, con coloritura coeva. La Mappa del Milanese con Milano, Crema, Pavia e Bergamo, è tratta dal III volume del "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum", di Abraham Ortelius considerato il primo vero atlante delle terre conosciute, pubblicato per la prima volta nel 1570; le mappe contenute nel trattato furono opera di diversi cartografi, tra i quali appunto Joan Blaeu (1599-1673). In buone condizioni, l'incisione è presentata in cornice.
