Watercolor on paper. Signed lower right. Alber Pollitt, a native of Lancashire, was active as a painter from around 1870. He mainly made watercolors, dedicated to the terrestrial and marine (often coastal) landscapes of Wales and Northern England, where he resided. The painting is presented in a contemporary frame. Known for his landscapes of North Wales and North England, this watercolor is a typical example of Pollitt's fine style. Albert Pollitt was a painter born in Worsley, Lancashire who was active as an artist from the late 1870's onwards.
