Neoclassical chandelier, the central shaft is in carved wood with leafy and gilded motifs, where the iron arms are inserted to support the lights, necklaces and glass pendants. With replacements and restorations.

Questo periodo storico comprende una prima fase propriamente definibile di Stile Luigi XVI. Solo in un secondo momento, con il maturare delle mode archeologiche, si formula e si codifica una nuova visione della civiltà d'arredo, ora compiutamente ascrivibile allo Stile Neoclassico. Nei fatti, entrambe le tendenze convivono all'unisono fino agli ultimi anni del Settecento. A pieno titolo, in ambito di ebanisteria, rientrano nell'epoca neoclassica anche gli stili Direttorio, Retour d'Egypte, Consolare e Impero.

"Baradelle a Paris"

Theodolite in gilded brass, with fixed and movable alidade central compass; signed on the underside "Baradelle a Paris". Baradelle was a French family of makers of scientific instruments; their production includes that of the father Jean-Louis-Jacques (active from 1752 to 1794) and his son Nicholas Eloi (active from 1774 to 1814), both signing indiscriminately with the sole surname. There is the painted and gilded wooden base with phytomorphic motifs as well. A similar theodolite belongs to the English collections of the Science Museum Group.

Small marble bust placed on a circular base, depicting an old woman with typical physiognomic features; the shoulders are surrounded by a drapery, while the head is covered by a cap. Sculpture can be compared to the inventions of Antonio Bonazza; in particular the pungent and ironic interpretation, the freshness of the passages, the recurrence of tense but not grotesque somatic features, as well as the adoption of engraved orbits, are characteristics of the production licensed by the artist and his atelier. In particular, interesting comparisons are possible with the famous Fattucchiera (Pollastrella) of Villa Widmann in Bagnoli di Sopra (1742). Present small lacks and abrasions, especially in correspondence of the nose; a re-composition affects the base.

Mercury barometer and alcohol thermometer in a finely carved wooden frame with richly decorated plant motifs. The sides are decorated with scrolls with fish scales in relief intertwined with flowering branches; at the top is a laurel wreath held by a bow. The barometer display and the thermometer bear the maker's mark; the display is protected by a coeval but damaged blown glass and has openwork metal hands. There are a number of drops, missing items and damage; only in a few places can the original gold leaf gilding be seen.
