Description

Two table lamps or ceiling lamps from the 70s with opal glass diffuser, painted metal frame.

Product Condition:

Designer: Sergio Mazza

Sergio Mazza was born in Milan in 1931, he soon became a designer and in 1955 he began his free profession. Since 1961 he has worked alongside G.Gramigna in the Smc studio, working in the field of furniture and industrial design. Among the various acknowledgments and awards received, we remember the mention to the Compasso d'Oro in 1960 for the Delta lamp by Artemide and the silver medal for the Italian Apartment at the X Triennale in Milan. From 1967 he began designing for Olivari too, signing the Macco handles, up to the Giuliana model, with Gramigna, of 1987. In the publishing field, again with Gramigna, he directed the magazine "Ottagono" from its foundation until 1988.

Nel 1964 nasce Quattrifolio, sull'onda del fiorire del design italiano in quegli anni in peno sviluppo. L'intento di produrre oggetti di ottima fattura, nonché di un contraddistinto design, ha permesso di contribuire alla crescita non solo dell'azienda ma di tutto il panorama del design in Italia. Nel corso degli anni ha sempre mantenuto saldamente i concetti iniziali dei soci fondatori. Parallelamente si è formato l'attuale gruppo dirigente, operando per decenni nel settore dell'illuminazione e del design, dando vita alla Quattrifolio 1964 s.r.l. L'impegno è quello di produrre oggetti costruiti con lo spirito e la passione tipica del fatto in italia con uomini che amano e rispettano il proprio lavoro.
