Pair of polychrome majolica plates in shades of blue and ochre. Decorated with plant and floral motifs, framed in geometric patterns rendered in blue. One of the two has a botanical decoration in the hollow.

The Three Kings

Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate 2006 complete with box, booklet and certificate; it is the ninth in the series and is entitled "The Three Wise Men" drawing by Ingrid Jensen. Plate number 1916 A. The box includes the second plate with the same illustration. Since 1998, Royal Copenhagen has started producing the Christmas plate dedicated to children with illustrations that represent the joy that Christmas inspires in children. White porcelain plate with decorations in various shades of blue. Each plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year of the first printing, which takes place from March 1st, and production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original mold which made it impossible to reproduce. As a guarantee of authenticity, the plate bears the Royal Copenhagen mark with the three overlapping wavy lines, which represent the three Danish straits: Øresund, the Great Belt and the Little Belt, and the initials of the painter who created the unique illustration of the plate. The plate measures 17 cm. in diameter and on the back it has two holes made by Royal Copenhagen itself during production so that it can be hung.

This plate from the Around the World series depicts the "Opera", the famous building in the gulf of Sydney, Australia. Design by the artist Swen Vestergaard. Bing & Grøndahl introduced the Around the World collector's series in 1997. The motifs on these plates come from the animal world every year with the aim of underlining the attachment that binds a mother to her cubs. Jubilee Plate 1970

The 1970 Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first Christmas plate produced in 1895. The title of the plate is “The Royal Palace Amalienborg” and it is the 12th in the series of Jubilee plates started in 1915, and still in production with a new plate every five years. A peculiar characteristic of all the Jubilee plates is that they repeat the ornamental motif of a previous Christmas plate; in this case the design of the Christmas plate of the year 1914 has been reproduced. Cobalt Blue Porcelain
