Italy, XX Century

Style bench with large seat and monumental backrest; it is carved with foliaceous frets and two fake pilasters on the sides of the backrest, it is entirely lacquered and painted with floral festoons and is adorned with golden inserts. Present removable cushion.

Pair of armchairs with foam padding, Bouclè fabric covering, enameled metal legs with brass tips. A pair of armchairs suitable for an environment with a relaxation area with an original style, a taste of other times and a touch of elegance. The product has been carefully restored by our laboratory, with restoration work with the replacement of the padding and fabric.

Pastels on paper. At the bottom right there is a signature attributable to Andrea Favero (1837 -1914). It is a pleasant and delicate portrait of a little girl from a poor family, but dignified and proud of her hairdo. She poses outdoors, in front of a flat countryside. The painting is presented in a period frame.

Italy, Early XIX Century

Directoire flap supported by truncated pyramidal legs, has two drawers plus two side by side placed in the upper band; pair of removable pullers allows the support of the folding door and concealing cabinet with drawers and central compartment. In olive wood, the interiors are in fir; handles and vents replaced.

Lombardy, Second Quarter XIX Century

Charles X secrétaire of Lombard production, supported by moulded feet, on the front it has pairs of doors containing a chest of drawers, surmounted by a folding door with a 'Cremonese-style' lock and concealing an architectural scribbling box with small drawers, document compartments and various secrets. Moved side uprights support the slightly projecting under-shelf band, in which is another drawer. Mahogany veneer, the interior is walnut, the scarab is inlaid with walnut, mahogany, walnut root and maple; bardiglio grey marble shelf.

Rococo style sofa in mahogany, Italy early 20th century. Wavy legs ending in curled feet; decorated with leaves and rocaille elements. Backrest, armrests and seat upholstered and covered with damask fabric.

Louis Philippe sideboard supported by feet of which the front ones are turned, on the front it has a pair of paneled doors surmounted by a drawer. On the top rests a riser with shelves supported by characteristic curled uprights and decorated in the upper part with a perforated wooden railing.

Around the World Collection Plate 2002

Sixth and final plate in the Around the World series, depicting the "Main Entrance Tivoli Park", the old Tivoli amusement and leisure park, founded by Georg Carstensen in 1843, located in the centre of Copenhagen. Drawing by the artist Swen Vestergaard. Bing & Grøndahl introduced the Around the World collector's series in 1997. The series includes a total of six plates with motifs taken from some of the most beautiful and well-known places in the world. White porcelain plate with decorations in various shades of blue. Each plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year shown on the plate itself and production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape which made it impossible to reproduce. As a guarantee of authenticity, the plate bears the Bing & Grøndahl mark with the three towers, inspired by the coat of arms of the city of Copenhagen, and the initials of the painter who created the unique illustration of the plate. The plate measures 18 cm. in diameter and on the back it has two holes made by Bing & Grøndahl during production so that it can be hung.

Jubilee Plate 1970

The 1970 Jubilee plate was issued to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first Christmas plate produced in 1895. The title of the plate is “The Royal Palace Amalienborg” and it is the 12th in the series of Jubilee plates started in 1915, and still in production with a new plate every five years. A peculiar characteristic of all the Jubilee plates is that they repeat the ornamental motif of a previous Christmas plate; in this case the design of the Christmas plate of the year 1914 has been reproduced. White porcelain plate with decorations in various shades of blue. Each plate was produced in limited quantities only and exclusively in the year shown on the plate itself and production ended at the end of the year with the destruction of the original shape which made it impossible to reproduce.
