Description : Ritratto di bambino

Oil on canvas. The painting, already restored and relined, is similar to those by Pier Francesco Cittadini and also to the representations of the Tuscan School of the late 1500s. The child, depicted with a basket of flowers symbol of freshness and youth, is wearing a long dress open on the front. See in comparison with the "Ritratto dei figli di Virginio Orsini" painted by Tiberio Titi (Florence 1573-1627) and stored at the Venice Palace in Rome. The painting is presented in gilded frame of the late 1800s. Early 17th century.
