Description : Ritratto femminile

Oil painting on canvas. Delicate and sensual portrait of a young woman with a dreaming expression. The painting comes with expertise on picture by the art critic Giacomo Migone who attributes the painting to the Baron Francois Pascal Simon Gerard (1770-1837) who portrayed the Imperial Family under Napoleon; the depicted young dame may be Madame Murat's daughter-in-law. Restored and relined, it is presented in revival frame. 18th century.
