Description : Natura morta con fiori e frutta
Oil painting on canvas. Good quality. The still life is depicted on two overlapping levels: in the foreground there is a large basket full of cherries, artichokes and some flowers (roses and tulips). Above in the background there is a smaller basket full of figs. The types of flowers and fruit recall a condition of richness and prosperity (roses, tulips, figs and artichokes belonged to the tables of rich people). The still life represents the feeling of transience and the relentless passing of time, which is underlined by the flatten flowers in the foreground. The painting already restored and relined is presented in revival frame. 17th century.
