Description : Paesaggio con fanciulla

Oil on canvas. Already attributed to Pompeo Massani (1850-1920), florentine painter that mostly painted genre scenes with masked figures, often standing still. In this painting a young lady is portraited leaning languidly on the fence the runs along a country path; next to her there is a jug on the floor. The girl is gazing who is looking at her; she seems to be posing to be admired and represented: it's an outdoor portrait! The painting shows several color drops and need restoration works. Also the coeval frame has small missing parts.
