Florence Third Quarter XVIII Century

Tuscan baroque mirror in carved and gilded wood with opaque and glossy parts, Florence third quarter of the 18th century. Richly decorated with rocaille motifs, including curls, foliage and floral elements. Masks on the front and sides of the coping; mercury perimeter mirrors while the central replaced.

Lombardy late 19th century

Carved sideboard with urn-shaped riser, antique breccia top, front with two doors, uprights at 45 degrees. The whole structure of the piece of furniture is veneered with Indian walnut, thuya briar and is richly carved with maple worked with floral motifs. Carving with medallions with cherubs in nature surmounted by a fern branch contained in a pointed arch vault within the reserves of the doors decorated with four carved nozzles. Carvings also present on the uprights and on the corners, key with handle with liberty motifs. Ferdinando Pogliani was a furniture maker whose most frequent production concerned the use of ebony and ivory, a bedroom signed by him has recently been put on the market which corresponds to the structural and decorative characteristics of this sideboard. Pogliani was born in Milan in 1832 and ran a workshop in Porta Vittoria and a shop in via Montenapoleone together with his sons Carlo, Giuseppe and Paolo.

United Kingdom Late 18th Century

George III serpentine sideboard in mahogany veneer, England late 18th century. Top with maple threads, front with 3 drawers in the band, pair of doors and inlays in mahogany and maple including a vase and fan motifs on the doors. Lack of drawer locks; door locks marked "Lever". Interior in oak. Bronzes replaced handles.

France Second half of the 19th century

Napoleon III display cabinet supported by turned feet, on the front it has three doors with glass, surmounted by a compartment with glass on the front, accessible by raising the shelf; the riser consists of three rooms with doors; glass also present on the sides. In dark-stained wood, it is decorated with bronze applications and brass-plated threads and edges of the top.

Piedmont Last quarter of the 18th century

Piedmontese neoclassical frame in mahogany, Italy, last quarter of the 18th century. Carved with rosettes placed at the intersection of the corners and with bell-shaped elements and phytomorphic frets. Gilded carvings, mercury mirror.

Italy Mid 19th century

Neo-Baroque armchair in carved and gilded wood, Italy mid-19th century. Padded back, armrests and seat, wavy legs ending in curls. Carved in scrolls, faces of children, fantastic animals and naturalistic elements.

France, Late XIX Century

Pair of pink granite urn vases with gilt bronze applications, Napoleon III, France, late 19th century. Removable lid with "pine cone" grip, Greek pattern of acanthus scrolls, berries and plant elements placed at the point of maximum circumference, profiling at the base. Each decorated with a pair of gilded bronze rams' heads that function as handles. Slight chips.

Italy First quarter of the 18th century

Baroque chest of drawers in walnut, Italy, first quarter of the 18th century. Front with 4 drawers decorated with panels placed within frames, the latter also present on the sides, uprights with pilasters carved with festoons of leaves, cherubs and fruits; shaped shelf feet. Interior in spruce, poplar and walnut.

Parma Third Quarter XVIII Century

Neoclassical table and pair of consoles in walnut, Parma third quarter of the 18th century. Tops with ribbon-carved border, single drawers in the bands, the latter carved with gouges and with a ribbed frame in the lower part. Turned collars and fluted truncated cone legs ending with spinning top feet. The three pieces can be joined to form a single table.

Italy 1850-1855

Female artist's mannequin bust in partially lacquered and painted wood, Italy mid-19th century. On the back it bears the following words, partially deciphered: ”Luigi Banzolini 1850 Laviana(?)” and “Coniata(?) 1855”. The bust, originally full-length, is missing the arms and the lower part.

XIX Century - from 1801 to 1900

Triptych clock in gilded bronze with finely painted porcelain inserts with compositions of flowers, panoplies, cherubs and bust of a woman inside a medallion. The clock has a gilded and chiseled bronze base with plant motifs decorations, a pair of vases on the sides, heads of goats and cherubs at the top. The porcelain display with Roman numeral hours shows the brand of the manufacture; finely pierced and gilded bronze hands. The four-flame candelabra in gilded and chiseled bronze are embellished with finely painted porcelain inserts. Mechanism marked Samuel Marti et C.ie medaille de bronze.

England, 1894-1895

Large silver tray engraved and chiseled on the large cable with repeated and plant motifs. Perforated and chiseled brim with a repeated vegetable theme. Chiselled side grips. Trader's and Sheffield manufacturer's marks engraved under the base. Grams 5340.

XVIII Century - from 1701 to 1800

Piedmontese wardrobe supported by shaped feet, as well as the lower band; on the front it has two paneled doors, the sides are also paneled. Entirely lacquered and painted with festoons and bouquets of roses, the lacquering and painting were resumed later.

Piacenza, Late XVIII Century

Pair of chests of drawers with walnut veneer, walnut root and bois de rose, maple and boxwood trim; inlaid rosettes with shading on tops, sides and fronts with three drawers. Retractable chain that allows the continuity of the inlay. Interior in fir and original locks. One seatback has been replaced.

XVIII Century - from 1701 to 1800

French neoclassical chest of drawers inlaid with breccia top, front with 2 drawers, front and sides inlaid with architectural whims enclosed within gilt bronze borders, wavy legs. Entirely decorated with neoclassical gilt bronze elements. Veneered in bois de rose; among the woods used there are palm, maple, green stained maple and boxwood. Interior in oak.

Parma Last Fourth XVIII Century

Group of 4 Neoclassical chairs in walnut, Parma, last quarter of the 18th century. Back and band carved with rosettes and bluebells, drip elements placed in the points of connection between the band and the legs, the latter grooved truncated cones ending with pear-shaped feet. Padded back and seat covered with damask fabric.

XVIII Century - from 1701 to 1800

Emilian neoclassical sofa supported by curved legs ending in curled feet, the lower band is shaped and decorated with rocaille and love knot carvings. The backrest is made up of four padded medallions with a cymathium carved in rocaille and connected with grotesque masks carvings. The distinctive masks with marked physiognomies are also carved on the armrests. In walnut, the seat is padded.

Italy Last quarter of the 18th century

Lombard neoclassical chest of drawers veneered in briar walnut with borders in bois de rose and violets, Italy, last quarter of the 18th century. On the front, the three drawers as well as the sides are framed by a relief frame, highlighted by the uprights where the pilasters have a third order of projection that outlines the architectural character of the piece of furniture. On the sides as on the frote, thanks to the flush drawers with retractable chain, we find reserves in walnut briar inlaid in boxwood and maple, with floral and phytomorphic motifs arranged circularly and vase elements. On the frames of the reserves are Greek inlaid with successive leaves and on the uprights motifs with sloping discs. Feet in a jar. Top in Bardiglio gray marble replaced, restorations. The piece of furniture presents in the taste of the inlay and in the arrangement of the same, different points of contact with the work of Mortarino both in the furniture attributed to him and in the certain ones; to this example the inlaid motifs on the uprights are reflected in the side borders of the two Mantuan dressers. XVIII Century - from 1701 to 1800

Neoclassical drop-leaf secretarie of the rolese production; it is supported by pyramidal truncated feet tightened by a collar on top. It has three drawers surmouted by a small drawer in the undertop band and a folding door that hides a compartment with drawers. Walnut. It shows the typical topo inlays, geometrical frames on the sides, tripartite front, a greek on the band and floral rosewindow inside the reserves except for the one on the door that shows an inlaid bird and the central one that has an elegant marquetterie drawing. Poplar interiors.

Northern Italy, XVIII Century

Walnut travel writing desk with cabinet concealing twelve drawers, six of which are smaller on the sides. Small drawers for the writing desk on the front, large drawer underneath. Detachable wavy legs with external locking screws; feet restored or replaced.
