The naked figure of the Saint, who holds the only fabric he possess to his chest and contemplates the sky ecstatically, comes very close to the painting of Fracanzano, Neapolitan painter who followed the style of Caravaggio and whose production frequently features this subject. The painting, in its first canvas, is presented in a coeval frame.
