Still Life with Flowers, Fruit and Goldfinch Oil on Canvas Italy '700

Oil on canvas. Spanish school of the seventeenth-eighteenth century. Portrait of a character holding a letter in his hand, while the envelope is placed on the table behind him, bearing the name (recurrent expedient in portraiture to make known the identity of the portrait), together with an address and a date, unfortunately not decipherable. Restored and relined, the painting is presented in an early 20th century frame.

Oil on canvas. Flemish school of the seventeenth-eighteenth century. The genre scene of popular taste features some villagers playing boules in the street, in front of a dilapidated barn, while one of them fulfills his physiological needs in a corner. The Flemish taste is found in the typology of figures and country gods it describes, and the "picturesque" note, albeit very realistic, is particularly close to the production of the painter Adriaen Brower (1606-1638), as suggested by an old attribution on the back. The painting is presented in a styled frame.

Oil on canvas. Bloody scene depicting a puma assaulting two watchdogs. The dogs are free from their chains, but they are succumbing to the puma. Restored and relined, it requires cleaning. Revival gilded frame. 18th century.

Tempera on canvas. The painting is part of a series of gouaches depicting the Allegories of seasons. The landscape depicts the remains of a fortress with some figures walking and others on a cart. The swallows are flying over the green trees. Presented in coeval frame. Late 18th century.

On the left, the landscape shows a farmhouse on the edge of a wood with rich vegetation, with figures of travellers on the path in front of it; on the right, the scene opens up to a view of a lake in the background, surmounted by blue mountains fading into the sky. The painting, conforming to the 18th century landscape style, has been previously restored and re-painted. In fair condition, it is presented in a revival frame.

Bird Hunting with Nets

Oil on canvas. Piedmontese School. The scene represents the bird hunting with net: some women, hidden under a shelter of wood and branches, are waiting with their cages for the birds which are gliding from the sky, on the right. The net is set up to trap them. The canvas had been restored and nailed to the back of the frame. Displayed in frame.

Oil on canvas. Landscape of rugged lands an barren mountains where a needle-like plant stands out poorly; we can see some figures of wayfare in the lower part. The painting had already been restored and turns ot to have been painted darker with an oxidised protective paint. Displayed in a ancient gilded frame with rear reinforcement.

Mixed technique on paper, applied on cardboard. Italian school. The name of Londonio is proposed on the back: the delicate piece certainly recalls the subject and manner of the work of Francesco Londonio (1723-1783), the Milanese artist who specialized in the animal and pastoral genre. It can be considered a work inspired by Londonio, by an artist close to his field.

Ink and watercolor on paper. Flemish School. On the back there is a lebel of a importantant private collection. The scketched drawing shows a view of a valley from a path on a hill that leads to a wood. Displayed in a revival frame.

Landscape of Northern Italy, with large mountains covered in snow on the background, there is a small castle at their feet, and the wide river is in the foreground, with some fishermen on its shores. The painting has some paint losses and evident craquelure. It is presented in a frame in style.
